Giant Jumbo Jet
One giant jumbo jet,
Ready for the flight.
One giant jumbo jet,
Doors closed tight.
The engines start a-roaring,
Everything is fine;
Start down the runway
Following a line.
The wings are all a-silver,
The jets are all a-glow.
Pull back the joystick
And up we go.

I'm a Yellow Helicopter
I'm a yellow helicopter
Sitting on the ground.
These are my rotor-blades
Slowly turning round.
Faster now, and faster...
They're spinning like a top.
Take off...
Turn around
Touch down...
Stop.

Railroad Train
One is the engine, shiny and fine;
It pulls the coaches all in a line.
Two is the baggage car, big and strong;
It carries the suitcases and trunks along.
Three is the express car with double locks;
Send what you wish in a package or box.
Four is the mail car, red, white, and blue;
It carries letters to me and to you.
Five is the passenger car, on its way;
It carries people both night and day.
Six is the sleeper car with berths one and two,
Where we can sleep the whole night through.
Seven is the dining car with tables so neat;
It's where I go when I want to eat.
Eight is the observation car that gives a wide view;
It lets you see the countryside as you pass through.
This is the train all clickety clack it goes,
Through sunshine, wind, and rain, and snow.
Airplane
I press on the starter,
The propeller whirls around
My airplane and I
Brush over the ground.
I lift from the field,
The motor roars out loud,
Far below is the earth,
Above me a bright cloud.
I dip and I drop
I swoop and I rise--
Oh, it's fun to be flying Way up in the skies!
Trains
Here's a little choo-choo train
Chugging down the track
Now it goes forward
Now it goes back
Now the whistle blows
Whooooo, Whooooooo!
What a lot of noise it makes
Everywhere it goes
Chooo-chooo-chooo!
The train comes running back.
One giant jumbo jet,
Ready for the flight.
One giant jumbo jet,
Doors closed tight.
The engines start a-roaring,
Everything is fine;

FINGERPLAYS
I'm A Little Airplane
I'm a little airplane,
(children raise arms at sides to shoulder height.)
Now watch me fly!
(They spin one of their arms in front of them as if it were a propeller)
Here are my instruments
From down low to up high.
(With their other arm, they reach from the ground to above their heads.)
First I get revved up.
(Children make engine noises while still spinning their arms.)
Then I can fly,
(Children raise arms to shoulder height.)
Lifting off the runway
(They start walking forward.)
Up into the sky!
(They go up on their tiptoes and continue to move forward. Let them circle awhile before returning to their original positions.)
Engine On The Track
Here is the engine on the track. (hold up thumb)
Here is the coal car, just in back (pointer)
Here is the box car to carry freight (middle)
Here is the mail car. Don't be late. (Ring)
Way back here at the end of the train. (Little)
Rides the caboose through the sun and rain.
Train
This is a choo-choo train
(Bend elbows)
Puffing down the track
(Move arms forward)
Now it's going forward
(Push arms forward)
Now it's going back
(Push arms back)
Now the bell is ringing
(Pretend to ring bell)
Now the whistle blows
(Hold fist near mouth and pretend to blow)
What a lot of noise it makes
Everywhere it goes.
(Cover ears with hands)
Here Is A Car
Here is a car, shiny and bright. (cup one hand and place on other palm)
This is the windshield that lets in the light. (hands open, fingertips touching)
Here are wheels that go round and round. (two fists)
I sit in the back seat a make not a sound. (sit quietly with hands in lap)
Twinkle Twinkle Rusty Car
Twinkle, twinkle chocolate bar
my dad drives a rusty car (make a stearing motion)
off with the break (lift break with hand or foot)
and on with the choke (press with thumb)
off we go in a cloud of smoke (coughing)
